The Gangplank in Saint Ignace

Great food with outdoor seating. Slow in receiving food but it is well worth it. Very cold beer with lots old local craft beers.

We had Tessa as our server and she was great. The food was good as well and was happy they had gluten free options!

My whole family and I were blown away by the food we got. We especially loved the Angry Poor Boy that was spicy a packed full of flavor! Good service and fun patio atmosphere. It is more fun on a sunny warm day because the seating is all outside on their covered patio. Overall wonderful food and I recommend dining here.

The food was sooooo good and the service was amazing! If you come in from out of town this place is awesome and worth the wait no matter how long it gets!

Wait time wasn't bad, for such a small place during dinner time. Staff was fantastic!Friendly, bubbly, and just the right amount of attention. The tables were spaced well enough you didn't feel crowded.

The food was good and the employees were very helpful. With Covid19 they have limited seating so we got take out and ate across the street on the waterfront. They have a very unique menu with a good variety of foods to choose from.

The Count Burger is so yummy! Both my grandma and I had this for our dinner. It was definitely garlicky, as advertised, but I love garlic. The only thing I wish is that their beer menu was more extensive - my grandma didn't find anything she really liked on it, and I wish they had had even a small tap list!

We didn't plan to stop here. But then we did. And boy were we impressed. Wife had the bison burger which was INCREDIBLE. Their cook is a magician. Really unique place. 5 stars.

While in the St Ignace area there were many option to choose, but the outdoor seating caught my attention. Many things to choose from We had the Animal fries, pickles, vampire cheese bead(garlic garlic garlic dream) Fish tacos and a burger. All items were delicious. We did find 2 bones in the fish tacos so be advised. Service was greatOur waitress was super nice! All COVID standard were followed IMO. THEY DO CHARGE A 3.99% service fee on the use of a debit or credit card. Cash or local check preferred.

Went in for dinner on wed 7-22 immediately seated and saw 7 of 8 tables with no food on them and unhappy families .Waitresses kept saying sorry kitchen backed up.We ordered 2 hamburgers and fries and chicken wing appetizer.1 hour 15 minutes later chicken app came outAsked about delay and girl was told time waited and she went in kitchenAt the 1 1/2 mark I left my money on table for drinks and cHicken appetizer and walked out.They seemed more occupied with carry out service but still kept seating people inside knowing service was terrible.We are up here all the time and will never be back.

Definitely a small, interesting place but so cozy and the food as phenomenal! The animal fries are a must to start! The lost island sauce really just finishes it. Even tried the gator- our first time- it was good, though not my cup of tea. The cranky Cuban was what I had and I'm salivating thinking about it now! My son had the grilled club and we actually cut our sandwiches in half and swapped. The other two boys had the Mac attack and raved and could barely finish. Boys are already asking to eat there again the next time we are in St Ignace!

The best thing St. Ignace has to offer. The Vampire Bread was amazing, the whitefish was really fresh and cooked to perfection, and the fries were by far the best I've had up north. The staff was so friendly and nice and made us feel welcome. Next time I'm in the UP I will go out of my way to come here. The price is also really good, especially compared to other nearby restaurants.

Cute little place to stop and eat. The whitefish tacos and veggie pita were amazing!! Very friendly atmosphere and highly recommend!

I had the whitefish sandwich and my husband has the shrimp Po boy. Both were excellent. Service was fast and efficient. Definitely worth going to!!

Food was decent, but fairly greasy. Waitress was nice, but didn't know details of the type of beers. Views were excellent and service was very good. It's definitely a place to just hang out with friends.

Great food! Great service! Stephenie was exceptional!! Friendly, helpful and on top of it! We felt very comfortable here, staff followed guidelines and tables were comfortably spaced :) gater bites are a must try!

Cute place. Following all of the Covid-19 rules which makes us feel a lot better. Food was good and our server leanna was great. My grandson already asked when we can go back again. Hats off to you “Gangplank” for working so hard to feed us all.

Excellent food and view. Brad G- aka dirty blonde- is the self proclaimed mask police of the place. I watched him very rudely tell a family they couldn't come in without a mask. When they questioned him about procedures, he pretty much walked away without addressing their questions and said something about the family under his breathe to his coworkers and they all giggled and had a good laugh at their expense. Won't be coming back just because of him

Whitefish sandwich was delicious, ask for extra dill sauce and vinegar for your home fries! They also appeared to be following best COVID practice for seating separation, mask use and no menus/communal items like salt/pepper shakers. Great experience!!

Great food with nice views and quick service. We visited in early May and there was no crowd, we liked the open seating and flame heaters on the table. Food was very reasonably priced and tasty. Fish was cooked to perfection . We enjoyed our dinner here. It would be great to have blackened or grilled fish on the menu.

We had a great time at gangplank on our way through St Ignace. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal! We will be back! 😃

MOST DELICIOUS GRILLED CHEESE I’VE EVER HAD! I keep craving it! Service was excellent! Great small, covered outdoor setting. It was so fun getting caught in the rain here, such a fun vibe! With a beautiful view of the harbor. Suggested by a local and I can confidently see why!

Ordered take out and had to wait over an hour. Hostess didn't seem to know the menu or how to take my order. Fish taco was great. Chicken Buffalo sandwich was nasty. Wilted lettuce. Yuck.

The only good thing I have to say is that our waiter was VERY friendly, great with children, and our toddler actually talked to him which is far from normal. My husband asked for LIGHT ketchup and mayo and it was DRENCHED in it. When he has to take his napkin and wipe it off, that's a problem. Especially upon asking for LIGHT condiments. They were out of every beer I wanted. Their menu honestly just sucked. Nothing sounded good. I started feeling extremely sick, like literally going to throw up all over the food when it was set in front of me, and the owner wouldn't take it off my bill even though I only took 1 bite and couldn't eat it. Clearly no integrity. Won't be back.

My son and I visited St. Ignace and we ate at The Gangplank a couple times. Great food Great service. Will definitely eat there again when we go back.

I spent 45 sitting, waiting to get food, with one of my mexican friends, waitress and owner where all to willing to serve white patrons. My glass of beer was dry still waiting for more waitress neglected us. Guy with "ceo" very rude and pushy. To my mexican friend when he didnt finish his food. And followed me out to my car and had words.

Took food to carry-out. It was yummy, but the best were the Buffalo Chicken Jalepeno Poppers...I only took a star off because they said a half hour, I came 10m later and still had to wait 10.

Without a doubt the best thing that St. Ignace has to offer. The staff was nice, the cook was absolutely killing it on just his second day and the music was up to date and joyful. I ordered the Vampire bread for an appetizer which was perfectly made. The Vampire bread is a cheese bread which is served with bruschetta, and the cheese bread was not soggy like some places cheese bread is and the bruschetta tasted amazing. Then I ordered the bison burger which to say the least was the best burger I have ever had. The bison was tender and the toppings were different from what I am used to on a burger but made a big impact. Lastly the fries at this place were a godsend. Now I don’t mean to hype this place up to much, but if you are in the area, GO! You will not regret it.

What a fun place, the atmosphere reminds you of a Key West setting! Ribs were delicious, French fries with the home made dipping sauce were great. I’ll definitely be back. Don’t miss out on this place!!!

Excellent food with even better service! Menu with unique and usual items, all 4 of us had different items as well as appetizers and we were thoroughly impressed! Fast and very well priced, worth every penny! Will definitely go back and fully reccomend it to anyone driving through or staying in St. Ignace!

My only complain was the long wait to get a table. The food was outstanding and the service was great. We will definitely be back on our next trip to the UP!!!! It was the best White fish we've ever had. The food was so fresh!!!!

Great staff. Pretty good food. Here for the fourth of july weekend and wanted to try something new and they didn't dissapoint.

Though the menu isn't the most inspired that you will ever see and the beer selection is par for the course in this area, the waitstaff at this establishment is one of the best and friendliest in the area. This is a good place to go when you're having one of those days when you just need that "beer and something fried" sort of snack/meal.I've been here before, and I will be here again.

Visited this last weekend and It was awesome!! It was busy and we waited just under an hour to be seated but it was absolutely worth it. The customer service was exceptional, although the hostess seemed not too happy, our server (Lee-on-a) was great and made up for the hostess, despite being obviously busy. The animal fries were awesome and the cluckin waffle (recommended) was amazing!!! My wife is newly gluten free and “Lee-on-a” had lots of knowledge for her, she had the bison burger with a gluten free bun and she loved it. The sweet potato fries were cooked just right, and the tortilla chips and salsa amazing too. An awesome atmosphere and a good location. I will definitely recommend this place, and we will definitely be back.

Very good! Service amazing! The wait staff had Muffin on the back of her tshirt. Give her a raise! Food is amazing! I highly recommend the chicken and Waffles sandwich!
